The Fitting
Find their size, the gentle way.
M, L and XL differ by only a few centimetres — so don’t choose by weight alone. One quick measurement while your cat naps tells you more than any weight chart.
Measure them curled up
- Wait for a nap — cats curl into a rough circle when they settle.
- Measure the widest span of the sleeping curl, in centimetres.
- Add a little breathing room — a cave should hug, never squeeze.
Curled-up width matters more than stretched-out length: a cave is a nest, not a mattress.

All dimensions are external. The plush walls and inner cushion make the usable interior a few centimetres smaller — that gentle snugness is exactly what den-loving cats seek.
Before you decide
- Sizing is approximate — plush compresses, and every cave relaxes slightly with use.
- Between two sizes? Choose the larger one.
- Weight alone can’t guarantee a fit — build, fluff and sleeping style matter just as much.
- Cats who love sleeping stretched out, or prefer open beds, are usually happier without an enclosed cave.

The Material
Softness, engineered.
Dense velboa plush outside, cloud-soft plush inside — a structure designed to hold its dome shape, with a gentle reshape after each wash.
The Care Ritual
A gentle care ritual keeps it fresh.
A bed your cat sleeps in every night should be easy to keep fresh. Spot-clean light marks with a damp cloth; for a deeper clean, we recommend this gentle four-step wash for cave and cushion.
Lift out the cushion
The padded PP-cotton cushion lifts straight out of the cave in seconds. A quick shake releases loose fur before the wash.
Wash cold and gentle
We recommend a cold wash (max 30 °C) on a gentle cycle, in a mesh laundry bag to protect the velboa pile — hand washing is gentler still. Skip bleach entirely.
Air dry, lying flat
No tumble dryer. Lay both pieces flat and let them air dry — that helps keep the plush soft and the colours deep.
Reshape while damp
While the plush is still slightly damp, plump the dome and ears back into shape with your hands. It dries ready to reign.

It arrived quickly and it's just like the picture. My Yorkshire fits perfectly. Inside there is a round cushion with a cover — it's well finished and great quality.
